I'm 3!

Just about everyday for the past year Rachel has watched Barney. What better way to celebrate the end of her 2nd year than to have a Barney Party. Everything was themed around what Barney likes. We started by singing and dancing, then made ice cream, and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, sang happy birthday, ate cupcakes, opened presents and then said good bye as we listened to Barney sing, "I Love You".

One story that I don't want to forget is of the birthday hat. Weeks leading up her party anytime she saw a party hat she wanted one for her party. I bought one for her yesterday and let her put it on prior to the party. She didn't like the way the elastic felt under her chin, she thought it was going to hurt her, so she took it off. I put it on and showed her it was fine. I went to help her put it back on and she started getting nervous that it was going to hurt, I told her I wasn't going to hurt her after a few reassuring words that I wouldn't let something hurt her she let me put it on and SNAP, I accidentally let the elastic go. I felt awful, the party hat got put away, Rachel cried and was left with a red line.
