Once a month we have lunch with our friends from USC that are now living in Las Vegas. We always have lunch at 11am on Saturday at Sweet Tomatoes. The Sweet Tomatoes tradition began when we were still living in LA and our friends the Merkers' had already moved here. We would drive in for the weekend, call them up and find out that they were headed back to LA for the weekend. Since we would get in to Vegas the night before they drove out we'd always have lunch at 1pm at Sweet Tomatoes on their way out of town. Hence a tradition was born. The Ravitch's have since moved here as well and have joined us. This month we took lunch one step further with a hike at the Valley of Fire. Thanks to the Ravitch's for the great idea we had a great afternoon and look forward to next month!
