Perfect Landing

My MOMS Club has a monthly lunch bunch that I'm the mom-in-charge of. This afternoon we went to Perfect Landing the restaurant at the North Las Vegas Airport. We sat out on the patio in the most gorgeous weather (sunny, light breeze, 75*) watching the small airplanes take off and land while enjoying good company and inexpensive food (for $5 I got a burger, fries, soda and a slice of cake!).

The timing of this restaurant choice couldn't have been better. 2 days ago Rachel finally started noticing airplanes in the sky and would point them out from her bedroom window. So today for her to watch them up close was a real treat for not just her but for me as well, to be able to watch as her face lite up and wildly pointed out the plane for me to see. This was the highlight of the day!

My own random thought: People who don't want kids really miss out on a lot. I find it sad.

I think that too, when the kids have these wonderful moments, that we seem to pass right on by! (Like discovering airplanes for the first time, or whatever it may be)
