Celebrating Easter

We've had a very enjoyable Easter Season. The Easter decorations came out right after St. Patrick's Day. Rachel has been playing with the plastic eggs for a month now and was pleastanly surprised when she participated in her first Easter Egg Hunt with my MOMS Club the Wed. before Easter and found them with sweets in it. After that she was disappointed to find an empty egg.

Two weeks before Easter we started reading a quote a day about Christ to try to keep the real purpose of Easter in our minds. Many times when we'd go to read one we'd have to play catch up and read 3/4 but we tried and hopefully next year it'll be easier.

The Monday before Mike and I dyed eggs and then on Tuesday we let Rachel put stickers on them and help add the wrappers and stands. Since she ended up crushing one we introduced her to her first hard boiled egg. Everyday since her and Mike sit down and crack their eggs, dip it in salt and pepper and enjoy an egg together. It's cute to watch since she sits at the table and not in her high chair and cracks her own egg. Mike peels it for her but she takes liberties to dip it in the salt and pepper all by herself. She's becoming so independent. What happened to my baby?

Easter Sunday we went to church and then went down to Mike's parent's home to enjoy an amazing dinner with the all the family that lives in town. The kids enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt and playing outside until it was dark. It's been a great Easter Season and I sure am glad spring is here!
