Lie Monster

Rachel looks forward to her Sunbeam class because her favorite teacher gives them lollipops. As I went to pick her up from class one of her friends was crying. The teacher told me that in their lesson about lying there was a story about a lie monster that got bigger and bigger everytime you lie, and she thought it was real. Rachel knew it was pretend and moved on. She went to unwrap a lollipop when Mike stopped her and asked, "Rachel, did you already have a lollipop today?" "No." replied the blue lollipop stained mouth. What happened to the lesson? Did she not just learn that lying was not okay? I wish she believed in a lie monster.
