Rachel celebrated her 4th birthday by inviting friends to a Princess Tea Party. The invitations went out as scrolls tied with pink ribbon. The scene was set and
The girls started by getting all dressed up, making beaded bracelets, having their nails done, getting their makeup put on and doing their hair.
Now that they were beautiful had met the prince it was time to go into the ballroom and dance!
We had a dance freeze and I found a perfect song called the "Princess Dance" where they learned to waltz with Belle, the swept with Cinderella, did the swim with Ariel, skipped with Snow White and feel asleep with Aura. This was my favorite.
After we danced the girls were invited into the dining hall for "tea". On the menu for today's tea party were heart shaped peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwhiches, ladybugs on a stick (celery, strawberry cream cheese and cranberries), fruit cups, and strawberry punch or water.
Then it was time for cupcakes. The kids all sang "Happy Birthday" so enthusiastically that I didn't hear a single adult, including myself.

Before we opened presents we got a group picture. At first Ashley wasn't in it when we finally got her in the picture the other princesses were done. Oh well.
Rachel opened her presents and the girls were so excited that after they were all open it was play time!
In Rachel's opinion she had "a lot of fun... even if there wasn't a pinata." A what? When did a pinata become part of the party.
Rachel we love you! Happy 4th birthday, Princess!

A special Thank you to one of my young women, Summer, for coming and helping out with the nails and taking pictures.
