- going to get her out of her crib and finding her sitting on top of the crib bumper and peeking at me with one eye between the rails and the other eye hiding behind one
- Rachel playing peek-a-boo with me by putting her favorite little lamby up to my face and pulling it away. So I dutifully say peek-a-boo and then the lamb covers my face one more time and the game continues with her smiling every time I say peek-a-boo!
- storytime at the library with Ms. Shelly learning new songs and rhymes
- reading the same book for the hundredth time. Her favorite this week is by Seaseme Street "Eyes, Nose, Fingers and Toes" I can recite the whole thing by heart. The page that says, "Open your mouth, big and wide... Where's your tongue? It hides inside!" So I open my mouth and say ahh and stick out my tongue. She knows this is coming now, so every time I turn to the page she looks up at me
- watching her face light up when Duchess comes and lays her head in Rachel's lap and being grateful that Rachel has finally figured out how to pet nicely instead of grabbing the dog.-Free Krispy Kreme donuts
-Finally deciding on a theme for Rachel's bathroom: Princess
- getting the cute outfits Grandmom Donna made for Rachel
- watching Rachel try to self feed by unsuccessfully grabbing the baby food on her tray and desperately trying to get it in her mouth. This act is of course followed with act 2 called use your arm as a napkin. Followed by act 3 called bath time
-Mike taking Rachel with him to take the dog out in the morning so I could have a few minutes of quiet time (she was cranky that morning)
-Naptimes!
-Rachel putting her arm around my back (as much as she can) and climbing on my lap to cuddle when tired
Lowlights of this week
- spending Relief Society in the hall with an overtired little girl who wouldn't sleep
- getting bit while nursing
- sucking yucky snot out of a runny nose
