I woke up Saturday morning excited to be going to a Family History Jamboree. I realized I probably wouldn't know anyone and that I'd probably be one of the youngest there, since Family History tends to be left to the white haired old ladies. But I was going to be child free from 8:30am to 3pm! Maybe that's what I was more excited about.
As I looked around the room I realized that the median age must have been at least 60. I've never been so grateful to have lived in the Snowbird capital (Florida) before. Having lived there and gone to church with grannies I was not out of my element I actually enjoyed myself and learned some new things.
Here are a few of the funny things I overheard:
~Is a flashdrive better then a cd?
~I was chased out of cemetery by a homeless man while taking photographs of the headstones.
~There weren't enough handicap parking spaces
~When interviewing your relatives be aware if they need a potty break
