Labor Day

We had a wonderfully relaxing Labor Day. The weather, here in Las Vegas, cooperated and we had a it was a gorgeous breezy morning that was only 85*. So we took advantage of it and headed to the park. Duchess was excited because she actually got to come along. We took her to the dog park where she ran around meeting all the people. Yes I do literally mean people, not the dogs but their owners. She ignored the dogs, the balls, and even the doggie water fountains and did what she does best and that is to lay down and watch.

After Duchess had her fill or rather after we got tired of watching her do nothing but lay down we decided to take Rachel over to the playground. Before we made it there I tried out our kite which flew without any problems until I managed to rip it. So then we continued over to the playground. By the time we got there Rachel was asleep! Oh well there's always another day.

That afternoon we hung out with Nate, Lauren, Jacob, Kayleigh and Grandma Julia (Lauren's Mom). We swam, Jacob showered, and Rachel learned a new funky crawl (see the below video). Then we ended the night with hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad and Mike's new favorite; brownies with icing.
