Mercer Arboretum

Sunday morning my mom and I decided to take a walk through the arboretum since it was a gorgeous morning and the garden is open to the public. We asked Brooke if she wanted to go. I was shocked when her answer was "sure". I don't really think of Brooke as the nature type but then when a little girl named Rachel is only in town for so long she does have a tendency to not say no to much.

On our way there Brooke asked us if arboretum's are fun. My mom and I paused and tried to come up with a truthful way of saying yes, so she wouldn't regret coming. Because in truth it's just a big garden you walk through and enjoy. We replied that it can be it just depends on you and what you make of it. When we were leaving I asked Brooke if she had fun and she said

Shelly: "So Brooke, did you have fun?"
Brooke: "yeah, why hasn't anyone told me about this place?"
Mom: "We did and she just stuck up her nose at it."
Brooke: "Then why didn't any of my friends tell me?"
Mom: "Probably because they scoffed at the idea when they were told too"

Things we did at the arboretum to have a "fun" visit:
*Took lots of pictures
*Played on fallen down logs
*Avoided stalking squirrels
*Hunted for mom and dad's initials they carved in a tree
* Played in the bamboo garden
*Swung on bench swings
*Laughed and enjoyed each other
*Go off roading with a stroller

You have a great eye for photography with those pics! Your sister looks all grown up! IT's fun to see your mom too! That place is beautiful!
